This is us; Me (Chay) & Razel (My love)

Our story goes like this:

Back then, we were nothing but complete strangers. We only knew of each other’s existence, never talked or anything.
(We didn’t even know we were actually neighbors! However, by this time, she’s already in the Philippines (to study), and I’m here in Dubai.)

Until one day, she sent me a message on Facebook, asking about   stuff since there was no one else online that she could ask to.
(Note: This was our very first conversation)

Then, we talked for quite a bit (It was short) & then signed off.
Then the next day, there she was again, and we talked.. and the next day, and the day after that. It was purely about the questions she was asking. (About her ex-boyfriend, she’s asking how well he is, etc. Since I do happen to know him)

During this time, it struck me; “I should get these guys back together again”.. So, I did. I tried talking to them both, plotting ideas to get the back together, since she was sad, and very broken at that point when I met her. That went on for a couple of days, until there was this one day where we chatted for the entire day, from morning up until midnight (Which I have never done, ever.).

From then on, we chatted everyday, and next thing I know, we’re getting to know each other now, and no more questions about her ex. We found our (many SO many) similarities, she’s basically my girl version, and I’m her guy version. We instantly became close because of that, she likes what I like, she hates what I hate (From the smallest things to the big things), which I found quite amusing, since I’ve never met someone in my life so similar to me. We had fun with each other’s company, talking non-stop everyday.

Then one day came, she finds out her ex has a new girlfriend. She was shocked & was extremely depressed. When I found that out, I thought “This should be it, right? I tried.” But no, instead, I had this urge to call her by phone, to console her. I had no idea why I did that, but it just felt right at that very moment.

Little did I know, I was falling for her. Days passed, we chatted everyday (without fail), I’m starting to fall even more for her.
(We’ve never seen each other, yet. Only through pictures.)

We spent a good 2 months just chatting through Yahoo! Messenger (Since I was too shy to show myself in the camera, because I’ve never done that.), but gave up and tried Video Calling (which she’s insisting back then), that went on & and on & then come June. I finally confessed that I like her. She told that she likes me, too. From then on, our feelings only grew stronger for each other, until we finally fell in love. 
It sounded crazy for others, but we know its real. We’re crazy for each other, despite not having been with each other, yet.
We didn’t let everyone know, yet. Because I know his ex-boyfriend (though I’m in good terms with him), and was worried back then what other people might think. And then, we had this question; “When do you want us to be official?”

We decided to type the date we have in mind, and send it at the same time. 
Here’s how it went:

So, right then & there, we decided that we’ll let the public know that we’re lovers madly in love with each other. Until then, we kept silent about our relationship (though rumors were already spreading about us being together)

Oh, and in-case there isn’t much hint yet, we’re in a long-distance relationship. She’s in the Philippines right now, and I’m Dubai.

And there we were, like usual, chatting everyday, on Skype during the evening, watching movies together while on Skype, etc. It was fun, we felt like we were always together, despite the distance. Though we had rough patches along the way, but we’re still together right now. And we’re happy. VERY happy. 

Then come December, she’s finally going to come back here (for Christmas vacation), the very first time we’re going to meet. We were excited to finally be together, then the day of her arrival finally came. (I couldn’t sleep that night from all the excitement)
She was 30 minutes early, she rang my phone, and told me that
“I’m here now, come down” I didn’t know what to do, as she was earlier than I was expecting. I rushed to put whatever clothing I could find, and ran downstairs & then, there, I finally saw her.
Without saying anything I immediately ran up to her, and hugged her tight. It was the best feeling, ever. It went on like that for a good 5 minutes. Without saying a word, just hugging each other.

Our very first meeting wasn’t as awkward as people thought, as they’ve been asking question like “Won’t it be awkward for you guys since you’re meeting her for the first time?”, it wasn’t awkward for the both of us, since, (to me at least) It feel like I’ve known her since forever (cliched, I know). But, still. It does feel like that. And she feels the same, too. 

During her stay here, we were together every single day. Enjoying the little time that we have, and had fun together.
Went to places, had meals together, small things that we’ve always talked about over Skype every single day that we wish we could do.

I introduced her to my family, and they welcomed her happily.
It was the best Christmas season of my life, all thanks to her.

After Christmas, finally, its January 1st! The day we’re telling everyone that we’re lovers. So, we were on Facebook, doing our own countdown (Not for the New Year) to change our relationship status. Haha! And so we did, some were shocked, some “knew it all along”, but overall, the reaction wasn’t so bad.
People were happy for us.

And then the day that she’s leaving came, and she had to go back. (As she only stayed here for 2 weeks only) It was heart breaking for the both of us, but then again, we were glad that we finally got to be together, and spent time together.

She’ll be back here on April, so we’re both looking forward to that. We’re both excited to meet up again, but for now, we’ll be on Skype, talking, laughing, throwing cheesy lines at one another, just like how we started. :)

We’ve met each other at our worst. We made each other to be in our best today. Its almost a year now since that day we first talked (February 23), looking back last year, I wasn’t this happy if it wasn’t for her. I can’t be without her; I don’t want to be without her in my life.
