Fuck Yeah Love! // My boyfriend and I met the semester before I moved...

My boyfriend and I met the semester before I moved 350 miles away to a bigger college campus. Knowing that I was going to move away when we met, we said we were just going to “have fun” but I guess summer has it’s own way of making people fall in love. When it was the time for me to leave we took the risk of having a long distance relationship.

Most of our communication has been through texting, calls, skype and surprises in the mail. During the school year we would get a weekend together if we’re lucky, maybe two. I can’t say it has been easy. Seeing couples around me who can advance and take their relationship to the next level way faster than we can because we’re not by each other has been hard - but he has always told me that we will have our time to do everything that normal couples do and having a long distance relationship together will always be better than not being together. I couldn’t agree more.

This May I will be graduating college and coming back home and we can finally start this new chapter in our lives exploring and learning how to function as a couple that isn’t 350 miles apart. We are going to move to a new city and create a home… together.

I know that if we can survive being apart from each other for so far and so long we can survive anything that is going to come our way in the future. It’s been almost three years and I’ve never been happier.
