This isn’t your typical love story by any means. There was no ‘forever’. There was no happy ending. But, there was an extremely strong bond. A bond called love. Despite the painful ending, what we had was real.I love this guy with everything that I have. Unfortunately, we aren’t still together. In fact, we broke up over a year and a half ago. No matter how much time has passed, my feelings won’t ever change for him.We met in the spring of my sophomore year of high school and his junior year. We were on the same track team and happen to sit in adjacent seats on the bus ride to one of the meets. I will never forget the ride back. It was the perfect temperature and the windows on the bus were open, allowing a breeze. We both looked at each other and neither of us looked away for a long time. In that moment, I knew that more than anything I had to be with him. One thing led to another, and we started talking and eventually dating. Still to this day, he is the sweetest and most caring guy that I have came across. I still remember when he brought me a single rose at school on our 4 month anniversary. In fact, I still have the rose. We took our relationship extremely slow, and I have never been so comfortable with someone in my life. This boy knew me better than I knew myself. We dated for a year and a half. Ultimately, it was a difference in religious views that became our biggest downfall, as silly as that seems. We don’t really talk much any more, it’s just too hard for the both of us. I know that he was the love of my life. I’m happy to have been lucky enough to experience love as strong as what we had, but I’m also sad that it had to end so soon. I’m also scared because I know there is only one of him in the world. But, I suppose I am lucky to have had the opportunity to be in love with him. It was a truly magical experience.www.rememberthebreakdown.tumblr.com
