The way we met was kind of funny… I saw him at this place called the box that we used to go to every Friday. It was my first time going, my friends had taken me out because my boyfriend just broke up with me. I saw Cory there and I told him my ex boyfriend still had the guitar he stole from him and I’d try to help him get it back. I never thought I’d talk to him after that. My birthday was two days after that and the same friends had picked me out to do something for my birthday. Their friend Tommie had asked us to come over and what do you know, Cory lived in the same house as Tommie. My friend Elyssa was texting Cory and he told her not to say anything to me (obviously she did, girl code) but he thought I was really cute and him and his ex girlfriend had decided to stop talking that day and he wanted advice on how to talk to me. She wasn’t really that good at giving him advice, so when I got there we kind of just went with the flow. I had to leave late that night because my sister was about to have her baby, so he told me to download this app called Voxer so we could talk on it. We also exchanged numbers that night. We talked all night long until I fell asleep on a chair at the hospital. The next day I drove back from the hospital and told my mom I had morning classes because I wanted to see him… I knew there was something good to come of this. We were supposed to have a lunch date, but my friend Carrie had wound up calling me upset so she accompanied us on our first lunch date, and he was okay with it which showed me he was a good choice, and a good friend. The next day I drove back from the hospital for class and wound up picking him up from work and hanging out with him and a few people. Finally the third day I came home from the hospital was finally the day that him and I got to hang out by ourselves. He took me to this place called the Knob. It’s this huge over look, and we just sat and talked for hours. The next day he asked me to be his girlfriend in the parking lot between Kmart and Burger King (yeah..not the most romantic place but I don’t really care, it was cute) Since that day we’ve had the most amazing relationship and things haven’t been better. We’ve also been blessed with amazing news as of yesterday, we’ve got a little one on the way. We’re starting the family we talked about, and it couldn’t feel more incredible… Yes it’s a little early but we’re going to do the absolute best we can do. This boy is the most amazing thing to enter my life and without him I would be nothing. He’s been there for me through so much and I don’t want to ever lose him.
