I finally had that wonderful carnival date that a handful of girls wish for &; I’m really happy it was with him. (:

For those of you who don’t know our story, it’s quite simple, but still the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. Four years ago, he told me he liked me &; all I could do was laugh. I was that “mean girl” &; he was that “dorky kid”.

Three years past &; he liked me through all that time, but this one day, when he told me once more, for some odd reason, I actually liked him back. He had to go before I got a chance to tell him though &; I ended up never hearing from him again. I found out that he met someone &; since I never gave him the time of day, why should I drag him back when he finally found someone who did?

A few months later, he decided to text me again, but I didn’t feel like talking to him. Instead, my best friend answered &; started talking to him &; they hit it off, actually making him forget about the other girl he met. I honestly didn’t mind &; I knew that they’d treat each other just fine. Somehow though, she ended up helping him get back to me &; we gradually started talking again.

I was surprised when I started to realize how much I liked him. All this time, I never found any interest in him &; it was all just so unexpected. Here we are though, about to make a year together without any major fights or “breaks” when four years ago, I actually told him that I don’t think I’ll ever fall for him. I’m glad I was wrong. <3
