In a world where skies filled with only shades of white and black, there was this boy who loved to color the world. He uses his ladder to reach the skies and paint them with colors that will make the sky be rightful of its astounding beauty. His ladder was so tall and he was the only one who has it.
His happiness couldn’t be put into words every time he colored up the sky. The glow on his face was as bright as the sun. Every single day, he climbs up his ladder and does his most favorite thing in the world. He was just there, always up in the sky. He loved every moment that he was there.
People started to wonder what he was doing up there and they got impressed of what the boy has done with the sky. They watched him from the ground and they would eventually leave whenever they get tired but there was this one little girl who never left. The boy’s masterpiece never failed to amaze her. Watching the boy everyday kept her busy. She never got tired gazing upon the beauty the boy had made. Every stroke of his brush draws a smile on her face.
Years have passed and the boy still continued with his passion. Just as when he was already finished painting up the sky, a terrible thing happened. While he was sleeping, an evil shadow took advantage of the time being. He stole the boy’s ladder and took it as his own. The boy woke up in the morning and was ready again for a day of doing the thing he loves but he was mortified of what he saw. His ladder was missing. He searched for it and asked every person he bumped into but none of them knew where it was. He then saw the girl who watches him everyday. The girl was wondering why he was sad and where his ladder was. She asked the boy and the boy just cried. The girl also got sad but she just tapped the boy’s back and told him she’ll help him find his ladder. The boy’s face lit up and had hope.
They went to the wizard and in the wizard’s magical sphere, they saw what happened. He knew what the shadow took it. The wizard told them where the shadow was lurking and warned them to be careful along the way. The evil shadow lived in an enchanted dark cave. He can play tricks on the minds of the people who are in it.
As the little boy heard the words of the wizard, fear was starting to haze his thoughts but the little girl just smiled at him, took his hand and ran with him. They reached the cave. It was pure darkness but it didn’t stop the two. They kept themselves brave for each other as they wandered around the darkness.
Until now, they are still inside the darkness and still looking for the shadow but little do they know that amidst the darkness they’re in, they have lit up the cave with hope, courage and love. In time, their light together will shine brighter and will have a clearer view of the right path to the end and get his ladder to his dreams back.
Don’t keep your loved ones too close. Allow for fresh air to dance between you. Fly away on your own once in a while and then come back to the nest you have built in your lover’s heart. Live in harmony, not in bondage. Love is not about becoming a dominant force in someone’s life. Love is about…
